About StreetSpy

StreetSpy is a free report on every residential building in New York City, built only from public records and run by StreetSpy LLC, a New York company.

Type an address and you get the open violations, 311 complaints, bedbug filings, evictions, litigation, rent-stabilization history and registered owner for that building, on one page, with an A to F grade and a source for every number. Records are refreshed from NYC Open Data daily. StreetSpy is free for renters.

Nothing is made up

Every building fact on StreetSpy comes from a public, citable city record, and every section of a report names its source and the date it is current through. Nothing is estimated, modeled or assumed. When a record is missing, the report says it is not on file or could not be verified. Reports state what the records show; they never characterize a person. How every figure is computed is in the methodology. If a record looks wrong, request a correction.
